- Irún – Hendaye border: you cross the Bidasoa river and enter France. The motorway becomes the A63.
- A63 to Biarritz: passing Saint-Jean-de-Luz, reaching Biarritz-Anglet-Bayonne within minutes.

Do you have to stop at the border with France?
No. Both Spain and France are part of the Schengen area, so there is no permanent border control between Irún and Hendaye. The taxi crosses without stopping and the journey is continuous.
That said, the border may have occasional checks by the French gendarmerie or police during alerts or major events. So it is always wise to carry:
- A valid ID card or passport (for EU citizens).
