This Cookies Policy explains what cookies and similar technologies are, which ones TaxiBilbaoAeropuerto.com uses, for what purpose, and how you can manage them or withdraw your consent at any time. This policy complements our Privacy Policy.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser when you visit it. They serve to remember information about your visit (such as your language, your session, or whether you have already seen a notice) and, in the case of analytics cookies, to understand in aggregate how the website is used and thus improve it.
We do not use cookies to identify you personally for advertising purposes, nor do we sell or share browsing data with third parties for commercial purposes.
2. Cookies we use
Technical / necessary cookies
Essential for the basic operation of the platform. They do not require your consent because without them the website or the booking process would not work correctly.
| Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| cookie_consent | Remembers your decision about the cookie banner (accept/reject analytics). | Persistent (until you clear browser data) |
| app_lang | Remembers the selected language (Spanish/English) during your booking session. | Session |
| tripSummary / bookingDetail / vanRequestDetail | Temporarily store the details of your ongoing booking (origin, destination, price, extras) while you complete the process. | Session |
| theme | Remembers whether the driver/manager panel is shown in light or dark mode. | Persistent |
| admin_token / driver_token | Keep the session logged in to the administration or driver/manager panel. | Persistent (until logout) |
Analytics cookies (require your consent)
They help us understand, in an aggregate and statistical way, how the website is browsed (pages visited, time spent, interaction heatmaps) so we can improve the service. They are only activated if you accept the cookie banner; if you reject it, they are not loaded.
| Service | Provider | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Google Analytics 4 | Google Ireland Ltd. | Statistics on website visits and usage, with IP anonymisation enabled. |
| Microsoft Clarity | Microsoft Corporation | Heatmaps and anonymised interaction recording to improve usability. |
3. Other third-party services
In addition to the analytics cookies above, we load scripts from the following external providers, needed for the address search and the website fonts to work. They do not depend on the consent banner because they do not install their own tracking cookies for advertising purposes:
- map Google Maps / Places API: used in the pick-up and destination address search, to show the route map and to suggest addresses as you type.
- font_download Google Fonts: used to load the website fonts (Manrope, Material Symbols).
4. Other local storage (booking panel)
Our booking process (available at /app) uses the browser's local storage (localStorage and sessionStorage) in a way equivalent to a technical cookie: to keep your session, your language and the details of your ongoing booking while you complete the process, as well as the session of the service's drivers and administrators. This information is not shared with third parties and is deleted automatically when you close the browser (sessionStorage) or log out manually (localStorage).
5. Your consent
The first time you visit the website we show you a banner where you can accept or reject analytics cookies. The necessary technical cookies are always applied, since without them the booking process would not work.
If you accept, Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity are loaded. If you reject, these services are not loaded and no analytics cookie is installed in your browser; only your choice is saved so we do not ask you again.
6. Manage or withdraw your consent
You can change your decision about analytics cookies at any time in two ways:
- delete By clearing this site's cookies and browsing data from your browser settings — the next time you visit the website the consent banner will appear again.
- settings By configuring your browser to block third-party or analytics cookies in general (bear in mind this may affect other websites you visit, not just ours).
Cookie management varies by browser. You can find out how to do it in the official help for Chrome, Firefox or Safari.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookies Policy when we add new services or due to regulatory changes. Any relevant modification will be published on this same page, updating the last-revision date in the header.
If you have any questions about how we use cookies, you can write to us at soporte@taxibilbaoaeropuerto.com.
