1. Introduction
Welcome to TaxiBilbaoAeropuerto.com (hereinafter, "the Platform"), a service operated to facilitate the advance booking of taxi services in the Bilbao metropolitan area and its connections with Bilbao Airport (BIO).
By accessing and using this Platform, you (hereinafter, the "User") expressly and fully accept these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any of the terms set out here, please do not use our services.
These terms are governed by current Spanish law, in particular by Organic Law 3/2018 on the Protection of Personal Data and guarantee of digital rights (LOPDGDD) and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
handshake 2. Intermediary Role
TaxiBilbaoAeropuerto.com acts solely and exclusively as an intermediary platform between the User and the self-employed taxi drivers or taxi associations that provide the transport service. The Platform facilitates communication, coordination and booking management, but is not a party to the transport contract established directly between the User and the driver.
What we do
We facilitate booking, communication and coordination between the user and the driver.
Who provides the service
The transport service is provided entirely by self-employed taxi drivers with an official licence.
What we are not
We are not a transport company or the drivers' employer. We assume no responsibility for the transport service itself.
Consequently, TaxiBilbaoAeropuerto.com assumes no liability arising from the performance of the transport service, incidents occurring during the trip, the driver's conduct, the punctuality of the service or any other aspect inherent to the act of transport.
3. Booking Process
Through the Platform, the User can request a taxi booking in advance, indicating the origin, destination, pick-up date and time and number of passengers. Once the request is processed, the Platform will pass the information to the available driver and notify the User of the confirmation.
- check_circle Bookings must be made at least 1 hour in advance for urban trips and 4 hours for airport transfers or other intercity destinations.
- check_circle Confirmation will be sent via WhatsApp and/or email to the number and address provided during booking.
- check_circle The User is responsible for providing correct, truthful and working contact and location details at the time of booking. If the phone number provided is incorrect or the driver cannot reach the User, the booking may be cancelled with no right to compensation. TaxiBilbaoAeropuerto.com assumes no liability for errors arising from incorrect information provided by the User.
- check_circle On public holidays or high-demand events, availability may be limited and confirmation may require additional verification.
Note: A booking made through this Platform constitutes a service request. The contractual transport relationship is established directly between the User and the driver at the moment the driver accepts the service.
event_busy 4. Modifications and Cancellations
The User can cancel or modify their booking through the Platform at any time, subject to the following conditions:
More than 1 hour in advance
Completely free cancellation with no penalty whatsoever.
Less than 1 hour in advance
The driver may claim compensation directly from the User for a wasted journey. TaxiBilbaoAeropuerto.com does not intervene in that claim.
TaxiBilbaoAeropuerto.com does not charge the User at any time, so no cancellation fees are applied by the Platform. Any compensation for late cancellation is a matter exclusively between the User and the driver.
Cancellation due to incorrect contact details
If the driver cannot reach the User before the pick-up time because an incorrect, unreachable or non-working phone number was provided, the booking may be cancelled without notice and with no right to compensation. TaxiBilbaoAeropuerto.com assumes no liability in this case. The User expressly accepts that the accuracy and availability of the contact details provided are an essential condition for the correct performance of the service.
Cancellation or vehicle change by the Platform or the driver
TaxiBilbaoAeropuerto.com and/or the assigned driver may, at any time and for justified reasons (availability, mechanical incidents, force majeure or other operational circumstances), cancel the service or replace the initially assigned vehicle and/or driver with another of equivalent characteristics, without this giving rise to any right to additional compensation for the User beyond, where applicable, the refund of any amount paid for the service not provided. Whenever possible, the User will be informed as far in advance as possible.
5. Prices and Payments
The price shown on the Platform at the time of booking is a fixed, indicative price, calculated on the basis of the official Bilbao taxi tariffs approved by Bilbao City Council and the Basque Government. Payment is made entirely in the vehicle at the end of the trip, directly to the driver.
Important: TaxiBilbaoAeropuerto.com does not receive, manage or process any payment. The Platform has no access to the User's bank or card details. Any financial transaction takes place directly between the User and the driver.
Credit/Debit Card
Visa, Mastercard and others. Accepted directly in the taxi.
Cash
Legal tender (Euro). Paid to the driver at the end.
* The fares shown are estimates based on official tariffs. The final price may vary due to traffic conditions, tolls or other trip circumstances, with the driver applying the official regulated tariff at all times.
lock 6. Personal Data and Privacy
TaxiBilbaoAeropuerto.com collects only the data strictly necessary to manage the taxi booking: name, contact phone number, email address, pick-up address, destination and date/time of the service.
Exclusive purpose
The data provided is used solely and exclusively to manage, confirm and coordinate the requested booking. It will not be used for any other purpose.
Disclosure to the driver
The contact details (name and phone number) and trip details will be disclosed to the assigned driver, solely so they can coordinate the pick-up.
No third-party sharing or commercial use
Personal data will not be sold, shared or disclosed to third parties unrelated to the transport service, nor used for advertising campaigns, commercial prospecting or any other purpose unrelated to managing the booking.
Retention and erasure
Data will be kept for as long as necessary to manage the booking and comply with legal obligations. The User can request access, rectification, erasure or objection to the processing of their data at any time through soporte@taxibilbaoaeropuerto.com.

7. Limitation of Liability
In its capacity as a technological intermediary, TaxiBilbaoAeropuerto.com assumes no liability for the following:
- remove_circle Delays, cancellations or modifications of the transport service attributable to the driver or to external circumstances (traffic, weather, force majeure, etc.).
- remove_circle Accidents, personal injury or material damage occurring during the trip. These are subject to the vehicle's mandatory insurance and the applicable traffic and transport legislation.
- remove_circle The driver's conduct, attitude or professionalism during the provision of the service.
- remove_circle Loss of or damage to the User's luggage or belongings during the trip.
- remove_circle Differences between the estimated price shown on the Platform and the final price applied by the driver in accordance with the official regulated tariffs.
- remove_circle Technical failures or interruptions of the Platform's service due to causes beyond our control.
For any incident related to the transport service, the User must contact the driver directly or, in the case of a formal complaint, the competent transport authorities of the Basque Country.
8. Obligations of the Parties
Of the User

- check_circleNot smoke or consume food or alcoholic drinks in the vehicle.
- check_circleNotify any special needs (reduced mobility, bulky luggage, pets) at the time of booking.
Of the Driver
- check_circleHold a valid taxi licence and the vehicle's mandatory insurance.
- check_circleOffer friendly and professional treatment to the User.
- check_circleKeep the vehicle in appropriate conditions of cleanliness and hygiene.
- check_circleApply only the current official tariffs approved by the competent authorities.
- check_circleChoose the most direct or efficient route unless expressly indicated by the User.
- check_circleIssue an official receipt or invoice if the User requests it.
9. Luggage Policy
The transport of standard luggage is included in the trip fare, provided it does not prevent the boot from closing properly or compromise the driver's visibility. TaxiBilbaoAeropuerto.com is not responsible for the loss, damage or theft of luggage or belongings during the trip, as this is the responsibility of the driver and the User.

10. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and interpreted in accordance with current Spanish law. For the resolution of any dispute arising from the use of the Platform, the parties submit, with express waiver of any other jurisdiction that may correspond to them, to the Courts and Tribunals of the city of Bilbao (Bizkaia).
Notwithstanding the above, if the User is a consumer, they may turn to the relevant Consumer Arbitration Board or to the alternative dispute resolution mechanisms provided for by the applicable European regulations.
TaxiBilbaoAeropuerto.com reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time, publishing the updated version on this same page. Continued use of the Platform after such modifications implies acceptance of them.
